Maclaren Globetrotter (2012) Stroller – HOT HOT HOT!

Maclaren Globetrotter (2012) Stroller – HOT HOT HOT!

globetrotter

The Maclaren globetrotterr stroller is very similar to the popular Maclaren Volo, but this one reclines:)
The Globe Trotter is the all purpose, lightweight go fast buggy. It’s suitable from 6mths to around 30 lbs. globetrotterThe 5-point safety buckle and adjustable shoulder harness make the trip really safe. The seat can be reclined in multiple positions with a one hand fold, and it’s washable too. The swivel wheels make it really easy to maneuver, and the carry strap for easy portability. It’ll be available in five colours Like all Maclaren strollers, this one comes with a raincover and a lifetime warranty.

The new Maclaren Globetrotter!

I have got to get me one of these!!
I LOVED the Volo but hated the that that it didnt recline......
THIS IS A RECLINING VOLO!

And that Pannier bag looks super cute too! :)

I have to say i find this a bit of a pointless buggy!!
-No basket
-No Recline
-Tiny roller skate wheels
-Tiny Hood

How would you put a rain cover on it? I wouldn't put either of my children in it, It look flimsy and incredibly uncomfortable and i cant imagine it has very good suspension on those tiny wheels???
Even if they advertise it as a holiday stroller, isn't the whole point of taking a stroller abroad so your child can sleep in the midday heat or in the evening after dinner? You could never go on the beach with it and it looks like one of those shopping trolleys you see grannies with lool!
NOT impressed!

2011 Orbit Double Stroller Helix2

Super cool idea.... Looks like a bit of a monster though!
Would love to test one out, Especially with the toddler car seat!

Cool Baby Things!

I will also post many cool things i find, im always on the hunt for something different!

So now its getting chilly we want to wrap the wee ones up nice and snug when they are in the pushchair. One of my many pet hates is when you see a child/toddler in the pram all wrapped up with hats, scarfs, gloves and coat........but their trouser legs have risen up and all the childs legs are exposed to the cold, and ive noticed it more with little boys as with girls you can just stick tights on under the trousers.

I did think about puting Mia's tights on Max but they are all pink lol!

So i found these, they are a few quid a pair on ebay and some go up to size 4-5 so i have ordered some for mia and max :)

Silvercross 3D Travel System In Pistachio

My 1st Travel System! :)
When i first found out i was pregnant that was it i would spend hours trawling through baby magazines and websites searching for everything 'perfect'. My mum is somewhere along related to steptoe so is always on the hunt for a bargain or freebee lol, so when i picked the Silvercross i found a bargain on ebay and won the whole travel system for £250 only one problem...... it was in yorksire, not a nice journey 7 months pregnant. But it was all worth it when we got it home - Playtime :) x

Mia on her first trip in the buggy!

The Silvercross 3D is beautifully made and in pram mode is just perfect for a new born. It doesnt have a seperate carry cot, you take the hood off and lie the pushchair seat flat then put the hood on back on facing the other way it then has a lovely white pram insert that is like a really padded bed sheet with a newborn pram mattress in the bottom.
Alot of the travel systems I have had have separate carry cots for a newborn and you just lay the baby in it, and i found they jiggle about when your on the move... the silver cross had a lovely soft 3 point velcro harness that held the baby in place snugly and comfortably. Another cute little feature the liner had was a little pocket at the foot end for small items like a dummy, hat, keys or mobile phone.
Pram mode also had its own apron that cocooned baby in the pram but still allowed air to circulate and seeing as Mia was a summer baby this was a great way to keep her snug without overheating.

Proud Daddy!

There was only one problem i had with pram mode and for me it was quite a big one. Mia was almost 2 weeks early and only weighed 6lb 9oz and was really small for her age for a long while, but by 3 1/2 months was already running out of room in parent facing pram mode so ultimately i had to switch it to forward facing. At such a young age i still wanted her facing me and in the end not being able to do this forced me to start looking else where..... ;-)

But if you are happy to have your baby facing the world (which i did for a few weeks) its just as good in pushchair mode. It comes with a Liner and a lovely fleece lined foot muff and reclines fully to lie flat with 4 different positions. Also has removable bumper bar and adjustable handles and a fair sized shopping basket.

The Silvercross is also car seat compatable and the silvercross car seat is lovely and roomy with newborn head support and padded harness and it even came with its own apron - very sweet. My fav part of the whole buggy was the changing bag! One of the best I have owned (i have had a few of those too lol) has lots of little compartments and two really big mesh pockets on the outside for sippy cups or bottles.

Folded it was quit neat but very heavy and took up quite a bit of space in my father in laws ford focus (I don't drive) on the hole though it was a nice pushchair i would give it a 6 1/2 out of 10 - Just not the pushchair for me!
